CEO of Access to Finance Rwanda AFR Rwanda , Jean Bosco Iyacu opens the conference with remarks around the astute idea of “iHuzo” project pushing digital commerce as a reliable response to advantaging Micro and Small Enterprises and iWorkers.

CEO Jean Bosco Iyacu: “Since the Covid-19 outbreak, we’ve all seen how digital commerce helped navigate amid the pandemic… however the industry is facing a number of challenges that need to be addressed for better service to be adjourned”. To conclude the opening remarks, Jean Bosco Iyacu reiterates the progress Access to Finance Rwanda has done so far and wishes that today’s dialogue pushes the work even further.

Here to thoroughly describe what iHuzo project is, Alex Ntale , ICT Chamber CEO introduces the very profound definition of response initiative from the problem origin, project goals, progress and the road not covered yet.

CEO Alex Ntale: discusses iHuzo’s main activities that involve digital onboarding, Ecosystem Acceleration and the influence and insights of the project. Alex Ntale mentioned that the expected impacts of this project involves having around 1500 local businesses, 2000 iWorkers’ livelihoods, 100 digital centers, owning and using e-commerce platform services. “iHuzo is all about discovery, linking and matching businesses to relevant digital platforms… and as well connecting iWorkers to digital jobs”.

The key topic for this panel revolved around “Expanding E-commerce and Digital labor market” Discussing on the potential of digital commerce to transform livelihood for MSEs and provide employment opportunities for Rwandan youth.
